My form of alchemy is rather mundane and syncretic. For me, alchemy is about transformation—turning the shitty into the golden, or at least changing your concepts of "shitty" and "golden." This transformation comes through a recognition of life's impermanence, a cultivation of compassion, an appreciation of life's simple pleasures . . . These actions form the steps of the dance, which changes from moment to moment, in response to life's events.
I'm unabashedly postmodern, so I draw from different traditions to suit my needs. I try to do this with respect for the wisdom of all the great teachers that have shown us the way.
